Success Story: Blue Diamond Clynton Marks Rejects Conventional Lifestyle to Find True Success

Clynton Marks always knew that he wanted more than a “conventional” lifestyle. Even though he thrived as a salesman in many industries and trained hard to become Mr. Johannesburg, the best in a prestigious bodybuilding competition, he was still searching for that elusive something he wanted in life.

He eventually turned to entrepreneurship and started his own business. As a business owner for over 17 years, he learned that your time-to-income ratio is an important component of success. “I never owned my business,” he said. “My business owned me. You see, even if you win the rat race you so desperately hold onto, you are still a rat.”

Clynton caught the vision of the opportunity offered by Syntek Global to live a life without barriers and in September 2013 he decided to live the life he wanted, on his terms. He sold his business and threw himself into his Syntek Global business. He vowed to make an example of his story and dedicated his time, finances, and resources to becoming not only financially free but also truly happy.

He took advantage of one of the powerful components of network marketing: teamwork. He partnered with another Syntek Global distributor, Cheri Ward, and they worked together to support, encourage, and lead their teams in South Africa. “We learned so much from each other, and being teachable is a paramount trait to succeed in this business—and life.” Clynton says that teamwork has not only made the business more lucrative, but also made the journey fun.

As Clynton aligned himself with people that he cares for and helped them become involved in this amazing business, he learned even more. “I found that by empowering those around me and focussing on the amount of people I could take on the journey with me, my success would be imminent,” he said. He is part of an incredible team that works together, dreams together, and grows together.

Clynton wants everyone to work for a life without barriers. “There is no excuse good enough to remain in a comfort zone that jails you into a life of mediocrity. Dare to be great!”

Success Story: Persistence Is the Secret for new Blue Diamonds Billy & Margaret Chalmers

Billy and Margaret Chalmers know what it’s like to overcome barriers—and that sometimes persistence is the key.

Billy was introduced to the Syntek Global opportunity by a former co-worker he hadn’t talked to in 16 years. At the time he was working on projects for different types of energy for work. One of his projects was fuel efficiency. He tried out the product on a road trip and saw a huge jump in fuel economy. That’s when he knew he had a powerful product coupled with a powerful opportunity.

Billy joined Syntek Global in August, 2010. A few months after signing up, his company underwent a management change, complete with benefit and job cuts, hiring of temps, and other stressful work conditions. It became so stressful that Billy fell ill. He ended up in the hospital with a blood infection and then six weeks of recovery at home. He was working from home, but was being pressured to return to the office. It got to the point that he was continually stressed with the work environment. Work had become a barrier keeping him and his family from the life they wanted.

Billy and Margaret talked, and decided that enough was enough. They decided to go all in with Syntek so that they could have control of their lives. Billy picked up work part time and Margaret went to work full time to take care of the bills while Billy built his Syntek Global business.

Billy talked to anyone he could think of, with few results. It was frustrating, but he didn’t give up. He tried different methods to build his business, but still didn’t have the results he wanted. Others encouraged Billy to get out of the business, but he and his wife had set the goal of a life without barriers and he refused to give up.

He researched and learned new skills, and finally connected with a car shop owner named Phillip Reynolds (current Blue Diamond). After that, Billy finally found the methods that worked for him and is having the success he worked so hard for. Billy and Margaret are proving that persistence and willingness to learn new skills and try new methods can lead to success. If you want a life without barriers, you can get it, despite obstacles along the way.

A New Crop of Blue Diamonds

This last convention we recognized many new Blue Diamond leaders on stage. They have all taken different journeys to reach this high rank, but all of them are inspiring others with their vision of living life without barriers.

Ben & Sue Robinson

Ben and Sue Robinson were uncertain about their future, with no financial plan for retirement. After their son, Chris, introduced them to the Syntek Global opportunity, they knew that building a network marketing business would be hard work, but that the final result would remove their financial barrier. Ben and Sue have been together since high school and have raised 6 kids—4 of them being boys—so they are not afraid to put in effort and hard work. It’s been said that hard work is the key to success, and the Robinson’s hard work has paid off. They are now prepared and look forward to their future with certainty. 

Sabrina & Gianfranco Di Giusto

Sabrina and Gianfranco Di Giusto couldn’t help but be enthusiastic once they caught the vision of the Syntek Global opportunity—and opened up a whole new country with that passion for a new way to live life. Sabrina and Gianfranco dedicate many, many hours to making sure the exploding growth in Italy runs smoothly, and have made a huge difference in thousands of lives because of it. Both of them are so happy now because they get to continue to help others through Syntek. They are breaking through barriers, and they know that with Syntek Global anything is possible. They encourage everyone to keep going because living life on your terms is worth it.

Gwen Lopes

Gwen Lopes has been called the heart and soul, and backbone of her team. After ditching her 9-to-5 job, she has proven time and again how self-motivation can lead to success. Gwen introduced the Syntek Global opportunity to the Caribbean, and has helped hundreds there break through their barriers. She goes out of her way for others and is willing to help anyone succeed, even if they aren’t on her team and it doesn’t benefit her, making her a true leader. Gwen says, “I can combine my passion for traveling with my commitment for helping people achieve more, and get paid for it all at the same time. Shane Saunders

Shane Saunders has been with Syntek Global from the beginning, and has stuck with the business through thick and thin. Like many, Shane’s story is full of pivotal moments when he chose to break through his barriers and take full accountability for getting the life he wanted. That’s when things really started to change. He had to overcome self-doubt following some major obstacles in his life, and decide to really believe that any level of success is possible. He realized that the only limits are those he allows. Every one of us has the power. Shane has taken that message to so many others and helped them reach for the life they desire. Gary Orchard

Gary Orchard loves to help others—whether that’s with physical problems in the course of his job as a chiropractor, or through Syntek Global. Gary enjoys his day job, but not the fact that he only earns when he is actively practicing. Both his father and grandfather passed away early, and he saw how much life they missed. Gary is determined to live life to its fullest now, because he knows how precious time is. He searched for a way not to trade time for money, and was one of the first to join Syntek Global. Success Story: Philip Reynolds, from Bodybuilding to Blue Diamond

Philip Reynolds knows all about hard work and dedication. He didn’t set several world records in bodybuilding by giving up when things get challenging or when "you just don’t feel like it.” Through his involvement in lifting/bodybuilding and owning his own car window tinting business, Philip developed a strong work ethic—and that has served him well on his rise to Blue Diamond with Syntek Global. 

Philip was introduced to Syntek Global by William Chalmers, who found Philip’s business card at a restaurant. William called him and asked if he could come down to his car tinting shop and show Philip the product. Philip saw the opportunity right away.

With the rising gas prices, he thought this was a perfect business. Philip has always been interested in multilevel marketing, and has joined several network marketing companies in the past. But before Syntek Global, he struggled with finding a company that had products based on a need instead of a want and that could also help him earn a residual income.

Everyone drives, everyone needs fuel, everyone likes to save money, and everyone needs the opportunity to make their dreams become a reality. Philip found his solution and joined Syntek Global.

Philip tested the product in his Mercedes, where he saw his miles per gallon jump from 13 mpg to 18 mpg. He was excited about the results and began telling everyone! He held weekly meetings started in his tint showroom, where he would do the presentations. However, as word spread, they quickly grew out of that small space. Philip saw this as an opportunity to really lay a strong foundation for the Vermont team and decided to open up an office space and training center next door.

He continued sharing the Syntek Global opportunity in the new location, using it for one-on-one presentations and weekly events. This training center has been a great way to pique interested guests, who see Syntek Global as a real business. Philip started out sponsoring just a few in his small office but has grown that into several hundred distributors expanding into nine countries.

Philip knows that just like with bodybuilding, it takes hard work and effort to build success in his Syntek Global business. Philip says, “I have found success by simply following the 1-2-3 system and helping my team leaders to build their businesses. It has gotten to the point where every day several distributors are joining our team.”

He also acknowledges that reaching the level of Blue Diamond didn’t happen without a great team. “I have not done this alone. I have a great upline,” he said. “Josh Zwagil has been there through all of the growth being seen in Vermont.  In addition to the phenomenal leaders I find success because of the way this business is structured and by the way this company supports us as distributors by providing us with all the trainings and tools we need. This company has given me an opportunity to represent a proven product that is in high demand worldwide. If you tell someone about the product and they use it they benefit! If you tell someone else and they want to become a distributor, they also benefit. It’s a win, win!”

Recently, Philip has worked tirelessly to earn entries into the Syntek Global car giveaway drawings. More than once, he has been one of the last two names left to win the car, but didn’t end up winning. In our car giveaway on Dec. 7, Philip had the most entries. He didn’t walk away with the car, but he never quit trying and vows never to stop striving for the best. As recognition for his hard work, his persistence and how he never gives up, Syntek Global awarded him $5,000 cash!

Philip is an inspiration, and a testament to how hard word, dedication, and focused effort can pay off and lead to success!
