In Memory of Stefano Anselmo

One of the founding members of Syntek Global Italy, Stefano Anselmo, unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 19, 2013 at the age of 44.

From the very beginning of Syntek’s presence in Italy, Stefano worked with total dedication in the Shipping Department. He did everything possible to reduce the costs of deliveries and worked hard every day for the past three years to insure Syntek products were sent promptly and efficiently to the customers  and distributors. When Stefano was asked why he often worked late, he said that his wish was to be able to make customers and distributors happy by getting the products to them.  He really did everything he could to accomplish that.

In the last year, Stefano has shipped thousands of packages, not only in Italy but also in other European countries, such as Slovenia, Spain, Greece, Poland, and Romania.  Thanks to his tireless work, Syntek Global in Italy has achieved remarkable levels of expansion. His presence will be sorely missed by his co-workers and those whose lives he touched on a regular basis.

Thank you, Stefano, for your invaluable contribution! You have been such a pillar for Syntek Global and we will miss you very much. You will remain alive in the heart of every person who has come in contact with you.

We are close to your family, your children, and your loved ones. We want you to know that we stand by them!

Again, thank you!

Looking ahead to 2014: Great News for MLM

The end of a year often has people in business predicting what to expect in the year to come.  Consumers now have easy access to a ton of information, which has changed the way of doing business. And it’s a change that is great news for anyone involved in network marketing.

This new evolution in how consumers purchase goods and services probably won’t surprise most of us. Daniel Newman, in his article “TheNew Rules: Return on Trust” in the Millenial CEO, shares the example of someone shopping for a new car. That buyer will usually do a lot of research. They will enter a car dealership already knowing what they want, how much they expect to pay, and other information. They are an informed consumer before ever making a purchase.

Many of us have already shopped this way.

Newman talks about a study that showed the average consumer consulted more than 11 different sources prior to making a purchase decision. Where it gets interesting is that these days consumers don’t trust advertising. According to studies, there isn’t a single type of advertising that consumers trust greater than 50%, with many forms of advertising in the 20-30% range.

So what sources of information do people trust? The new consumer seeks to make purchase decisions through word of mouth and brand engagement. In fact, 90% of consumers trust a recommendation from their network.

If you didn’t perk up at that, then go back and read it again. 90% of those involved in this survey trust word of mouth and their personal connections the most when making buying decisions.

Well, network marketing companies have known about the power of personal connections for a long time. And now it looks like society is catching up to us. . So reach out to people, because they’re going to trust a real person over any paid advertisement.

2014 is looking bright for network marketing and Syntek Global!

Go out and grab this new year and own it! This is YOUR time!

Motivational Monday - Winning is a Choice

This is an amazing inspirational video for athletes (swimmers in particular) but so much of it applies to anytime we set a lofty goal that requires hard work. We've included the transcript for you.

Rise and shine.

6 a.m. and your hand can’t make it to the alarm clock before the voices in your head start telling you that it’s too early, too dark and too cold to get out of bed. Aching muscles lie still in rebellion pretending not to hear your brain commanding them to move. A legion of voices are shouting their unanimous permission for you to hit the snooze button and go back to dream land.

But you didn’t ask their opinion.

The voice you chose to listen to is one of defiance. A voice that says there was a reason you set that alarm in the first place. So sit up, put your feet on the floor and don’t look back because we’ve got work to do. Welcome to the grind.

For what is each day but a series of conflicts between the right way and the easy way? 10,000 streams span out like a river delta before you, each one promising the path of least resistance. The thing is, you’re headed upstream. And when you make that choice, when you decide to turn your back on whats comfortable, safe, and what some would call common sense, well that’s Day 1. From there it only gets tougher. So just make sure this is something you want, because the easy way out will always be there ready to wash you away. All you have to do is pick up your feet.

But you aren’t going to are you? With each step comes the decision to take another. You'ree on your way now, but this is no time to dwell on how far you have come. You are in a fight against an opponent you can't see but oh you can feel himon your heels can’t you, feel him breathing down your neck. You know who that is? That’s you. Your fears, doubts and insecurities lined up like a firing squad ready to shoot you out of the sky. But don’t lose heart. While they aren’t easily defeated, they are far from invincible.

Remember this is the grind. The battle royal between you and your mind, your body and the devil on your shoulder who is telling you this is just a game, this is just a waste of time, your opponent are stronger than you.

Drown out the voice of uncertainty with the sound of your own heart beat. Burn away your self doubt with the fire underneath you. Remember what we're fighting for and never forget that momentum is a cruel mistress. She can turn on the dime with the smallest mistake. She is always searching for the weak place in your armor; the one tiny thing you forgot to prepare for.

So as long as the devil is hiding the details, the question remains, "Iis that all you got? Are you sure?" And when answer is yes and you have done all you can to prepare yourself for battle then it’s time to go forth and boldly face your enemy. The enemy within.

Only now you must take that fight into the open, into hostile territory. You're a lion in a field of lions all hunting the same elusive pray with a desperate starvation that says victory is the only thing that can keep you alive. So believe that voice that says you can run a little faster, and you can run a little harder, and that for you the laws of physics are merely a suggestion.

Luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that winning can happen by accident: sweat, on the other hand, is for those who know it's a choice. So decide now, because destiny waits for no man, and when your time comes and a thousand different voices are trying to tell you you're not ready for it, listen instead to that lone voice of dissent. The one that says you are ready, you are prepared. It's all up to you now.

So rise and shine.

Success Story: Philip Reynolds, from Bodybuilding to Blue Diamond

Philip Reynolds knows all about hard work and dedication. He didn’t set several world records in bodybuilding by giving up when things get challenging or when "you just don’t feel like it.” Through his involvement in lifting/bodybuilding and owning his own car window tinting business, Philip developed a strong work ethic—and that has served him well on his rise to Blue Diamond with Syntek Global.

Philip was introduced to Syntek Global by William Chalmers, who found Philip’s business card at a restaurant. William called him and asked if he could come down to his car tinting shop and show Philip the product. Philip saw the opportunity right away.

With the rising gas prices, he thought this was a perfect business. Philip has always been interested in multilevel marketing, and has joined several network marketing companies in the past. But before Syntek Global, he struggled with finding a company that had products based on a need instead of a want and that could also help him earn a residual income.

Everyone drives, everyone needs fuel, everyone likes to save money, and everyone needs the opportunity to make their dreams become a reality. Philip found his solution and joined Syntek Global.

Philip tested the product in his Mercedes, where he saw his miles per gallon jump from 13 mpg to 18 mpg. He was excited about the results and began telling everyone! He held weekly meetings started in his tint showroom, where he would do the presentations. However, as word spread, they quickly grew out of that small space. Philip saw this as an opportunity to really lay a strong foundation for the Vermont team and decided to open up an office space and training center next door.

He continued sharing the Syntek Global opportunity in the new location, using it for one-on-one presentations and weekly events. This training center has been a great way to pique interested guests, who see Syntek Global as a real business. Philip started out sponsoring just a few in his small office but has grown that into several hundred distributors expanding into nine countries.

Philip knows that just like with bodybuilding, it takes hard work and effort to build success in his Syntek Global business. Philip says, “I have found success by simply following the 1-2-3 system and helping my team leaders to build their businesses. It has gotten to the point where every day several distributors are joining our team.”

He also acknowledges that reaching the level of Blue Diamond didn’t happen without a great team. “I have not done this alone. I have a great upline,” he said. “Josh Zwagil has been there through all of the growth being seen in Vermont.  In addition to the phenomenal leaders I find success because of the way this business is structured and by the way this company supports us as distributors by providing us with all the trainings and tools we need. This company has given me an opportunity to represent a proven product that is in high demand worldwide. If you tell someone about the product and they use it they benefit! If you tell someone else and they want to become a distributor, they also benefit. It’s a win, win!”

Recently, Philip has worked tirelessly to earn entries into the Syntek Global car giveaway drawings. More than once, he has been one of the last two names left to win the car, but didn’t end up winning. In our car giveaway on Dec. 7, Philip had the most entries. He didn’t walk away with the car, but he never quit trying and vows never to stop striving for the best. As recognition for his hard work, his persistence and how he never gives up, Syntek Global awarded him $5,000 cash!

Philip is an inspiration, and a testament to how hard word, dedication, and focused effort can pay off and lead to success!

THAT'S NOT ALL...

We also want to congratulate Phil Reynolds (Vermont, USA), who had the most number of entries in the car giveaway. In fact, Phil has been in 2nd place for the car more than once, but he never quit trying. As recognition for his hard work, his persistence and how he never gives up, Syntek Global has awarded him $5,000 cash!!

As Phil says, "Hard work and determination really pay."

3. During the first two weeks of the official opening, ALL Syntek Global distributors will then input their own paper applications into the Syntek back office system, where all new distributors will be placed and positioned in the down lines of their sponsors. NOTE: Sponsors are responsible for the input and placement of their new distributors through paper applications. Do not send the applications to Syntek Global.

Success Tip: Tap Into the Power of Passion

“One person with passion is better than forty people merely interested.” E. M. Forste

We often hear that success requires passion, hard work, and persistence, but passion is really what drives hard work and persistence. Passion for an idea, pursuit, or activity fills us with energy, and with it we can accomplish goals that would be impossible without it.

Richard St. John, best-selling author of the book “8 To Be Great,” found through 10 years of researching over 500 successful people that there are 8 Traits that successful people have in common. The #1 trait was PASSION. Based on hundreds of interviews and his personal experience, Richard St. John suggests that passion, not money, is one of the key drivers of success. (Here is a link to his great TED video.)

“What surprised me was how often business people used the words passion or love when they talked about their work.” - Richard St. John

And others agree with him. According to Kevin and Jackie Freiberg, authors and motivational speakers, passion is key in work for these reasons:

•    Passion intensifies our focus.
•    Passion enables innovation and creativity.
•    Passion provides the drive to persevere, to avoid cutting corners, and to pursue excellence.
•    Passion creates energy among colleagues that allows work to be completed more quickly.
•    Passion helps people deal with fear.

So passion makes us work harder, longer, stronger, more focused, and more creatively. If you find yourself wavering in your dedication, perhaps you need to take the time to discover your passion. Fall in love with what you do and you’ll go far.

Then help your team find their passion.

John C. Maxwell is a motivational speaker who tries to help people reach their potential. He wrote in a blog that for years he tried to inspire passion in audiences but found it wasn’t having the effect he wanted. Then he realized he was going about it the wrong way. He was telling people what made him passionate. And it wasn’t working. He changed his focus to helping others discover their passion.

As you talk to others about your Syntek Global business, absolutely share your passion with them. Tell them what makes you excited about the product and the opportunity. But then comes a crucial step that you might be missing: help them discover their passion.

What makes you passionate will not necessarily resonate with someone else. The network marketing model makes every distributor a leader, and being a good leader means that you listen, ask questions, and honestly help others find their passion. Then if they join your team, you will not have to push them to do what they need to do to succeed; they will be driven on their own.

“Passion is fuel for the will. Passion turns your have-to’s into want-to’s. What we accomplish in life is based less on what we want and more on how much we want it.” - John C. Maxwell

Passion really is key to success. As Richard St. John discovered, passion turns underachievers into superachievers. Albert Einstein was a notorious underachiever, until he found his passion.

If it worked for Albert Einstein, it can work for YOU.

WE WANT TO KNOW: How have you found your passion?
