Regional Conference Recap - The Verdict? It was Awesome.

On Sept. 13-14 in Davie, Florida, things were moving and shaking at the Syntek Global Regional Conference. It was two days packed with information, inspiration, and celebration! We were thrilled to see our seats filled with so many of our great distributors!

The theme of the conference was “Rise Up,” focusing on RISING UP to a better you and truly taking hold of the opportunity that Syntek Global is offering.

From the start, the energy and enthusiasm was high! We filled the days with training and fun, but kept it a casual atmosphere, with a sports theme. There was no fancy dress code this time. Comfort was the name of the game, with jerseys, hats, etc. celebrating favorite sports teams.

The general sessions were fantastic, with training from top leaders (Alton Patterson, Chris Bailey, Gwen Lopes, Jaimes Lewis, Josh Nelson, Josh Zwagil, Kambree Nelson, Natalyn Lewis, Sam Robinson) and co-founders Kirk Newman and Curt Ence. These sessions were wildly successful, and very interactive. Everyone walked away with valuable information and a new determination to reach for their dreams.

Our motivational speaker, Alvin Day, talked about the power all of us have as individuals, and to empower yourself. It’s all about mindset and believing in yourself! That’s a belief that we take seriously at Syntek Global. YOU have the power to determine your own destiny.

And because that’s what we do, we also gave away prizes. Not surprisingly, that was a big hit! Who doesn’t like prizes—especially cash?

We topped off the first day with a laid back, fun dinner with the founders—sports apparel dress code. People talked and laughed, and were able to take pictures with the Kirk and Curt.

Then the founders presented sports-themed awards to distributors who have gone above and beyond.
Some of these fun awards were: Hardest Hitter award, Walk the Talk award, Leadership award, Invincible award, and the Show Me the Money award.

Award winners received a one-of-a-kind Syntek Global signed football—and bragging rights.

The award winners.

At the conference, we also previewed our new Syntek Lifestyle video (you can see it HERE *link*), and made several announcements of exciting things coming up! As you can see, conference attendees were thrilled to hear about it all first.

The energy was high the entire two days, and culminated on Sept. 14 with our car giveaway! We gave away a brand new car on stage. We streamed the big moment live, and had all the hopeful-winners linked via video. (If you missed watching it, you can see it from the back office.) It was a wonderful moment, one that everyone at the conference will never forget!

A big congratulations to our winner!! (Click HERE to see who the winner is.)

After the car giveaway, the distributor with the most number of tickets in the car giveaway program—a staggering 18 tickets—was also awarded a $5,000 cash prize for his hard work. Congratulations to Hildo Emerenciana from Curacao!!

We had an amazing time at the regional conference, and anyone who attended will tell you that it was well worth the time to go. We can’t wait to see more of you at our 2014 International Convention, March 16-18 in Las Vegas, where together we can Make It Happen!

Were you at Regional Conference? If so, what did you think? Let us know in the comments!

Success Story: Scott Smith's Never-Quit Attitude Pays Off

Scott Smith was born and raised in a small town in New Hampshire, USA. His family was poor, so life growing up was challenging, but they managed.

When Scott was 7 years old his parents had to put him and his twin brother in a group home (boarding school) for 5 ½ years—not because they didn’t love their sons, but it was a choice they had to make to keep the boys safe and healthy. It was an extremely difficult time in Scott’s life. “Not being able to see my parents on a day-to-day basis was tough, but it was teaching me how to become strong, disciplined, work hard, and to NEVER give up,” he said

In August of 2012, Scott was approached by John Trahan about XFT. He decided to give it a shot. He told John if it worked, he would be on board. He went on a camping trip towing a heavy camper. He put XFT into his truck and saw improvement on his mileage by the third treatment. His excitement grew as his miles per gallon continued to improve.

He wanted to change his life financially, so he joined Syntek Global. “I am on board 100%,” Scott said. “Syntek has been a HUGE part of my life emotionally, physically, and financially! I am just so blessed to have been in the right spot at the right time. Syntek Global is my life for life.”

Scott knows there are tough times, but he says, “I am here to tell you if you keep your mindset right and you BELIEVE in yourself and you 100% believe in the product then you will be unstoppable, no one will defeat you! The only person that can defeat you is yourself!”

Scott and his wife, Megan, have a 5-year-old son, Colin. Scott’s dream is to spend more time with his family and help his parents live a comfortable life, because they have been working so hard for so long with nothing in the end for them to enjoy. We have no doubt he will make it happen!

Scott’s resolve and never-quit attitude are an inspiration! He has determined to push himself every day to make sure his dreams come true, and he is well on his way. Congratulations, Scott, on advancing to the rank of Jade MVP! We are proud to be part of Scott’s climb to success!

High fuel prices (both gasoline and heating fuel) are affecting people all around the world. It isn't just a localized problem. Xtreme Fuel Treatment is a product that can benefit anyone, anywhere!

U.S.A.
9/10 - U.S. fuel prices stable as global fuel price spikes, but that could change as global oil prices continue to shoot up due to what the Energy Information Administration called “unexpected” production outages worldwide, some caused by growing unrest in African and Middle Eastern oil producing nations.

9/16 - With prices rising, natural-gas bill will take a bigger bite this winter. Those really cheap natural-gas prices have left the stage. As a result, it’s a good bet you will pay more to heat your home this winter.

9/17 - National gas price average set to surpass $3 for 1,000th consecutive day. “The reality is that expensive gas is here to stay, which is a hard pill to swallow considering that most Americans rely heavily on their car to live their lives.”

U.K.

Philippines
9/4 - Fuel prices Rise on Fears Over Syria. Oil firms raised pump prices for gasoline, diesel and kerosene Tuesday as market jitters drove up fuel prices across the globe. Petron, the No. 1 oil player in the country, attributed the international movements to concerns over “ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly Syria.”

China

9/16 - Fuel price rise drives up cost of motoring. Motorists in Shanghai will have to pay more for their gasoline from today after China yesterday announced a rise of less than 1 percent in fuel prices, the third increase in two months due to higher crude oil rates.

Brazil
9/16 - Brazil likely to hike fuel prices by Oct. 21. A newspaper, citing unnamed sources, said a “relevant part of the government’s economic team” wanted gasoline prices to rise about 8 percent by that date.

India
9/14 - Comparing the frequent hikes in petrol and diesel prices to a " Jizya tax" on the people, BJP on Saturday said the government has increased the prices by 25 to 30 per cent since January this year and demanded a rollback.

9/15 - Oil secretary Vivek Rae has said consumers must share some oil subsidy burden, indicating an impending hike in diesel, kerosene and cooking gas prices soon.

South Africa
8/21 - South Africa inflation jumps to 6.3% on fuel costs. South African consumer prices surged by 6.3 percent over the 12 months to July, official figures showed on Wednesday, driven by high petrol prices.

Ghana
9/12 - Fuel prices, transport fares go up by 20%

Develop Your Own "Board of Directors"

Many people are drawn to network marketing because of the freedom—not only the promise of financial freedom and the freedom to be your own boss, to decide what you do, when you do it, and how much you effort you put into it. No one is telling you what to do; it’s all up to YOU.

Ahh, the independence, the lack of restrictions. Striking out on your own and grabbing your destiny by the throat and shaping it! Sounds great, doesn’t it?

YES!

And then sometimes, no.

It’s no doubt that being in charge of yourself, your time, and your business is a liberating thing. That is one of the things about being an entrepreneur that appeals to us. But sometimes it can also be very hard to be self-motivated 24/7.

The truth is, while you alone determine the effort you put into your Syntek Global business, you don’t have to do the business alone. And while we’ll talk a little about your business team, don’t forget the importance of your own personal team, or, as an article in the Wall Street Journal put it, a personal “Board of Directors.” (You can read the entire article HERE.)

This Board of Directors doesn’t have to be people in the business; just people you trust and can rely on as a resource and support group. “Just like a corporate board, these allies serve as a (hopefully) honest, confidential sounding board for making tough career, family and financial decisions,” the article says.

A personal BOD can be valuable in all areas of life, but it can also be very beneficial to develop a business BOD as well. Luckily, the network marketing business model is conducive to the formation of teams as organizations are built.

We have several strong teams in Syntek Global that truly support each other, but one of the great things about the Syntek Global opportunity is that every distributor is a leader and a mentor. As your organization grows, others will be looking for YOU to lead. As you build your business, you automatically become a leader.

That means, if you don’t have the team support you’d like, then do something about it! You might be the one others are waiting for to jump start a team that will rocket all of you to the success you want.

For our September newsletter we asked distributors to share how their teams support them. We had a lot of great input, and even more on our Facebook page that we couldn’t fit in the newsletter. If you haven’t read that section of the newsletter, take a few minutes to do so. (Click HERE to get the PDF)

So today's tip for success is to build your own Board of Directors. Look around you, see what other teams are doing, and then go out and make it happen for yourself!

Also, if you didn’t already share about your team, we'd love to know in the comments the great things they're doing.

Embracing Technology to Skyrocket His Business: Interview with John Watts

We like to hear about the great things our distributors are doing and give Shout Outs on our Facebook page. Not long ago, distributor Eva Sahr shared that a leader of hers, Mr. John Watts, has helped his team find success through utilizing technology—particularly Facebook. This piqued a great amount of interest, and so we hunted John down to talk to him about it.

First off, a little about John Watts, Sr. Like many of our distributors, he is friendly, upbeat, and motivated. He has been an independent Syntek distributor since Nov. 2011, after being introduced to the opportunity by helping his mother learn the ropes of social media for her Syntek business. With his background in computers, John soon realized the leverage that technology and social media could give people in home-based business.

However, he knows that many people are uncomfortable with technology. For those who don’t have a lot of computer knowledge, there is even fear. He said that some people don’t even know how to use the Syntek Global website and access the resources available there. “We live in a world that is so fast-paced, due to the constantly evolving arena of technology,” John said. “It’s intimidating. A lot of people have a real fear of technology.”

Yet technology impacts our day-to-day lives in so many ways and has become integral to our economy. John’s enthusiasm was apparent when he talked about the power technology gives to those who can understand and tap into it. It allows people to reach across the globe in ways that we never could before. He is a firm believer that Facebook has completely changed the way people interact with each other and the way that businesses relate with customers.

Likewise, it has changed the face of network marketing. “You can reach people you never would be able to in real life,” he said. “You can connect with people all over the world. I’m meeting with ambassadors, presidents, ministers, counselors—going places where I physically could not go.”

He shared that especially with social media, he has seen results greater than he could ever get face to face. John uses Facebook groups to connect his team, help and train them, and reach others who might be interested in the business opportunity. “You can present information in one place, and it cuts down on a lot of unnecessary questions and conversations,” he said.

Facebook is user-friendly; people can easily learn how navigate it without the need for extensive computer training. Most importantly, it’s FREE. “Facebook has revolutionized business and how things are done,” John said. “People overlook the impact Facebook has and the value it brings to the consumer, as well as the business owner.” Businesses can spend less time and money than on traditional advertising and see greater results. “There’s a reason you see all these businesses on there,” he said.

John spent months figuring out the best, most efficient, ways to use Facebook to build his business. “I made plenty of mistakes,” he said. “Those mistakes helped me to grow. I learned as I went, so that (my system) has become what it is today.” And those methods have revolutionized the way he and his team run their Syntek Global business.

John encourages all distributors to educate themselves and take advantage of the technology that is available to everyone at the touch of their fingertips.

He welcomes questions and invites anyone who is interested in talking with him to contact him via Facebook (John TheInnovator), Twitter (@FuelInnovator), or Instagram (linked to Facebook).
